I’m 230 pounds, and since I’m diabetic and on insulin, I haven’t been able to lose much weight. My doctor is putting me on a medically supervised diet of 600-800 calories a day, and he says he expects me to lose probably 80 pounds in 6 months. Since it’s doctor-supervised, I’m not too concerned about making myself sick dieting, and I’ll still get all of the nutrients I need. My only worry is that losing the weight that quickly will make me flabby and saggy, and I don’t want a ton of loose skin after I do this diet. I’ve heard it can take two years or more for it to snap back to your body. And the only tips I’ve gotten from people on how to not sag, is to lose the weight slowly, which I can’t do on this diet.
Also, if it changes the answer at all, I’m 21, drink lots of tea but no coffee, and work out less than I should.
doing strength training every other day can help your skin snap back.
but any place you have stretch marks there will be lose skin. the worse the stretch marks, the more likely you are to need cosmetic surgery to fix.
good luck!
How can i Lose Inches off of my waist in a healthy way?
-im a student and barely have time to excersise so what would be an easy way to lose inches, not necessarily fast though
Jump rope , if you’re able to take 20 minutes out of your day then you’ll be amazed with your results. Start with 50 jumps then a 100 and make your way up to 2000 or 1000 after that you’ll be losing a half pound almost every day!
I was wondering what is the best weight loss supplement to try when trying to lose weight?
I was going to take slimquick, but wanted further suggestions.
Hello,
The reason all the other diets, diet foods, organic foods, healthy foods, medicines and all the rest don’t work in this modern technologically-amazing age is because they were deliberately designed not to!
I dont want to repeat myself constantly, or go on another rant of how messed up our world is – but it is a shame and people need to WAKE UP and realise what is going on. The diet industry makes billions out of insecure people and they want to keep it that way.
Every year we are sold diet products that do not work. I hope people reading this really think about what I am saying here, just do a simple youtube search and find out for yourself.
I have researched these facts, facts that they dont want you to know but I have gone on long enough now. To learn more the link below will explain further and help you escape the matrix.
Thank me later,
I hope this is more than what you were looking for xx
the people telling you to eat less are wrong, well not wrong but their not helping! You need to eat less but more often (six meals a day instead of three) this will get your matabolism up^^ and will actually help burn off fat
So I have been in the program for my surgery for a yr now. The first time I was denied from my insurance company because I didn’t have 6 months of supervised diet. After I completed that, they re submitted and denied me again, this time saying I do not have any co morbidity. Which I have some but don’t know if they meet their criteria. But that is besides the point I am about to make. I think the people at the insurance company can not read! Please read the following and tell me why I was denied again? I did everything listed in this section
For all members who are stable without documented life-threatening comorbidities, documentation must be presented that the member has clinically documented evidence of a minimum of six months of demonstrated adherence to a physician-supervised weight management program including at least three consecutive months of participation in a weight management program prior to the date of surgery in order to improve surgical outcomes, reduce the potential for surgical complications and establish the member’s ability to comply with post-operative medical care and dietary restrictions. A physician’s summary letter is not sufficient documentation. Documentation must include assessment of the member’s participation and progress throughout the course of the program. The member must also agree to attend a medically supervised post-operative weight management program for a minimum of six months post-surgery for the purpose of ongoing dietary, physical activity, behavioral/psychological, and medical education monitoring.

Please tell me I am not nuts and what I will have to do now??? I filled out an appeal… I also am in need of getting my hiatal hernia repaired. I have severe acid reflux disease and they wanted to do the surgerys together at the same time because they have to go in the same way….
HELP
that information was sent to them in answer 2. I had all the documentation in section B you stated..
I have a hiatal hernia for answer 3. I have been on many of the medications you stated. I need to have the hole repaired that is in my chest wall. My esophagus looks like a scraped knee inside of it. It is not getting any better. I have been trying to avoid the surgery for 6 yrs. I hate surgery but ….. I will do what I have to so I feel better. It sucks bending down and puking acid into your mouth daily….
Filling out the appeal is a great start. You probably ALSO have to have a doctor give a more detailed letter demonstrating the participation you did, the comorbidities as documented via testing, etc.
Sending them the info the first time, you get an almost minimum wage person who reads over everything, and denies the claim without understanding what they’re reading. Appealing, you’re information will be sent to someone with more brains, who actually might UNDERSTAND it.
If your APPEAL is denied, you need to call and talk to a supervisor, and ask the supervisor at the insurance company EXACTLY what you need to send in – or have your doctor send in. You *might* need to have your doctor’s insurance coordinator call the insurance company to get the detailed list of what you need.
But there’s a good chance that the appeal will be successful, because NOW you’re dealing with someone with a bit more knowledge and experience.
I am a model in New York City and i have been away for 2 months and have gained unwanted weight! I need to get my butt down two inches to be back to the standards of my agency. What are good exercises to Lose Inches off my hips and thighs? Are there any foods i should eliminate out of my diet?
Squats and lunges. These are two of the most effective overall leg workouts. And you can do them anywhere, anytime. If you have access to weights and various machines, there are more things you can do. Check out http://www.coopersguns.com/videos/exercise-encyclopedia/ for more leg and other exercises.
I have been on a strict weight loss program. I eat generally healthy and go to the gym 5 to 6 times a week and about three times with a personal trainer.
However, soon I am planning on getting into birth control pills. I have been told that your hormones go crazy with the pills… Would this affect my weight loss? I know it reacts differently with each woman… but what are the possibilities?
Thanks in advance!
Hi Athena,
I can relate. I went on Depo Provera and I experienced weight loss which was cool because I didn’t want to have unnecessary weight gain while on my health regimen. I am sure it affects every woman differently though. Hope this helps
