Im thirteen years old and am slightly chubby. I am going on a trip to florida in two weeks but i am worried about how i will look in my bathing suit. My parents dont agree with me trying to Lose Inches so buying any products is out of the question. I dont need to lose any weight, i am happy with my weight, its just the fact that i have a very puggy stomach. Can anyone help?

go run and do crunches and sit ups about all u can do.. also eat healthier.. no junk food. im a 16 yr old guy and i have abbs because i run and do crunches and stuff every day. i watch what i eat.

At my local gym, they have treadmills with different programs that you can select (manual, interval, performance, heart rate, weight loss, etc). How exactly does the weight loss program work? Is the goal of that to keep the heart rate in a certain zone all the time? Or does it work differently? Thanks in advance.

No it doesn’t work. Try "uphill" or "gluteal" or just crank up the incline. I think the eliptical works better. Do the "gluteal" workout and crank up the resistance. I lost 25 pounds doing this.

I think I may have celiac disease so I am going gluten free. My worst symptoms are indigestion and a big distended belly and inability to lose weight. If you went gluten free how long did it take to see results?

Yo, im a 16 year old male who plays football. I weigh about 280 lb’s. Is a protein diet good for me during the off season while running and lifting weights? I want to come down to about 260. Just looking for opinions.

For a body builder, you need about 1 gram of protein for each pound of your body weight.
For normal balanced diet, you need about 12% to 15% protein calories out of total calories. That’s much lower amount.
One gram of protein is 4 calories. I don’t know your current diet so I can not say that you should reduce your Protein intake or not. Your typical food intake calorie-wise for weight-loss is as follows:
Protein 15%
Carbohydrates: 55%
Fats: 30%
To loose 20 pounds, you should reduce your calorie intake by 500 calories per day for 20 weeks.
I am sorry I can not give you a better advise

Im am very short, 5ft. I weigh 115lbs and for my height, I do look pudgy. My body frame is fairly small as well. I want to get down to a size I feel comfortable in. I am looking for tips on diet,calorie/fat/carb. intake,and anything else that might be useful. Thank You!!!!

Here are a few tips;

WHEN to eat for losing weight…

• Eat (at least) three times a day.
Because when you eat only once a day, your metabolism gets slower than it already is! That’s the main reason. Sounds funny, but to lose weight… you must eat (the right things, of course)
• Eat low-fat, high-fiber foods such as salads and vegetable pastas.
• Your last meal should be before 18:00. Try.
OK, one apple after 18:00
• Don’t starve
Starvation is not good for losing weight, nor your health.
Starvation is the worse thing you can do in a weight loss diet.
• Try oatmeal instead of cornflakes for breakfast–eating oatmeal can help reduce cholesterol levels, and its high fiber content will keep you full longer.

WHAT to drink for losing weight…

• Drink 6-8 glasses of water every day !
Can be tap, plain, mineral, sparkling. I just love mineral sparkling water!
This improves your bowel, reduces the "hunger" sensation, and hydrates your skin. Your skin will look much better after the first weeks!
Don’t believe the slogan "water makes me fat". Beside being stupid… you might get into serious troubles with your kidneys.
• Drink ONLY natural juices, freshly squeezed!
Don’t drink Coca Cola, Pepsi, Spite etc. during the diet. Even lite or light versions.
• Avoid those vending machines by carrying around your own healthful foods and leaving pocket change at home.

Exercise for losing weight…

• If you want quicker results – exercise would be good.
• Don’t just sit in front of the TV and eat peanuts…
I guarantee THIS won’t work for your weight loss
• Start a regular exercise program and stick with it. Don’t be afraid of those sweat suits and Lycra pants!
• Start swimming. Swimming is an excellent exercise to get involved with, since it increases blood flow and uses muscles we don’t regularly use. Start a swimming program and try to do it 3 times a week. You will feel excellent and rejuvenated.
• Choose an exercise program that you enjoy, and don’t shun the unconventional. For instance, did you know that regular vigorous dancing is exercise too?
• Also Cardiovascular exercises such as running, jogging, or aerobics will help you lose that unwanted belly fat. Weight training can also help you lose body fat because the more muscle mass you have, the more ability your system has to burn body fat.

I’ve lost 2 1/2 inches off of my hips and stomach area, yet the scale says I’ve only lost twelve pounds. Does that sound right to you? Is it possible to lose that many inches without losing a lot of weight? I wansn’t overweight to begin with, I just wanted to wear a size 6, which fits nicely now.
I’m an hourglass shape, by the way.
And I’m 5 foot 8

Yeah you could have gain some muscle when you were working out to lose the weight and muscle takes up less space then fat; so, you look smaller then you actually weigh
